Khao Lak is distinguished by its quiet unspoilt atmosphere, secluded beaches and natural wonders. It is popular with families and adventurers wanting to escape the crowds and development of many of the other areas of Thailand. Khao Lak can be found about 80km from Phuket and covers a number of national parks featuring tropical beaches, mountains. Elephant trekking, bamboo rafting and rainforest walks are some of the popular activities of this beautiful region.
